Exploring Pace and Pensiveness through Film and Photography

May 26th, 2020

In Spring 2018, I took a class for my minor, European Literature and Culture - LLCU 300: Cinema and the Visual with Prof. Giuliana Minghelli. It has been one of my favourite classes I've taken at McGill. I really loved exploring the worlds of cinema and photography, and delving into how such mediums affect our ways of seeing.

My LLCU 300 Midterm Essay was my favourite essay I've written for a class. In the essay, I compare Agnes Varda's Salut Les Cubains to Chris Marker's La JeteΓ©, and explore the juxtaposition between cinema's pace and photography's pensiveness.
